Utah Marriage & Family Therapy Clinic Anniversary!
We at Utah Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic want to thank you while celebrating our 1st anniversary!
We wanted to update you on a few things that we are hoping to provide you in year two of our Utah County serving clinic. If you haven’t been to therapy in a while, you’re always welcome back and we’d love to see you again!
Training & Growth
In the past year, Clarissa, our Clinical Director and Lead Therapist has completed three clinical trainings and invested countless hours to augment her already diverse skillset with cutting edge techniques to improve the effectiveness of your therapy. Clarissa has filed paperwork to be independently licensed in the state of Arizona to provide therapy to those who move to or are from AZ. Lastly, Clarissa has begun investigating PhD level doctoral programs with the goal of becoming a leading expert in couples counseling and systemic theory
We Are Hiring!
Our clinic has continued to grow and we are in need of additional therapists to meet the demand. We are searching for Independently Licensed or Associate Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists. If you or someone you know would be interested, please send us an e-mail to umftclinic@gmail.com. We are also looking at leasing a second space in the Vineyard area in the coming year to meet the needs of our clients.
New Resources For Our Community:
Due to the diversity of our community, we are looking into providing additional resources for our Latino, LGBTQ+, and faith transitioning clients. We will announce these once they are available.
One of our core values at UMFT is normalizing mental health and therapy, especially for couples and families. In the coming months, we will be creating and releasing the following content that all clients will have access to:
It Takes Two – Podcast
20-30 minute episodes discussing the most up-to-date research on relationships. We will dive into the most common challenges couples face and what listeners can do to connect on a deeper level with their partner.
Utah Relationship Blog
On our website, we will begin publishing short articles written by our therapists addressing some of the current issues couples and individuals are facing. These will combine theory, current events, and practical applications into easy to digest blog posts pertaining to the unique culture and community found in Utah.
Relationship Workbook
Clarissa is authoring a workbook couples can use to deepen connection, repair relationship injuries, and document the growth and progress during the therapy process. By having a tangible workbook, couples will be able to progress their relationship by literally being on the same page. This book will reference Sue Johnson, Drs. Gottman, and other leading experts’ tools and techniques in one easy-to-find workbook.
Regular @ClarissaMace_Therapy Social Media Content
We will be increasing the content we produce on Clarissa’s social media platforms. Other therapists who join our clinic will also have unique profiles providing their own specialized content. If you haven’t already, check out our instagram: https://www.instagram.com/clarissamace_therapy/
