Job Description
We are excited to offer a Marriage and Family Therapist position for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual currently pursuing or having recently completed a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting, working alongside our team of professionals to make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.
Responsibilities
- Conduct therapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families under the supervision of a licensed therapist, addressing issues such as marital conflicts, family dynamics, mental health disorders, and life transitions, faith transitions, and any other presenting issues.
- Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans that reflect the clients’ goals and therapeutic needs.
- Engage in regular supervision with a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to discuss case management, therapeutic techniques, and professional growth.
- Contribute to the clinic’s research initiatives and community outreach programs to promote mental health awareness including but not limited to social media posts & blog writing.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and practices as outlined by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
Requirements
- Current enrollment in, or graduate from, a Marriage and Family Therapy program.
- A strong commitment to developing clinical skills and working ethically with diverse populations.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to establish therapeutic rapport with clients.
- Basic proficiency with technology, including teletherapy software and electronic health records.
Compensation & Benefits
- $15 per session rate
- Supervision & Clinical Meetings are unpaid; however, opportunities for additional pay for administrative or marketing duties can be discussed based on applicant experience and clinic needs.
- Dedicated MFT supervised clinical hours required for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
- Our clinic only employs MFT therapists and our clientele are primarily couples, then individuals, then families. This provides a wide range of client experience requisite to complete your licensure in the optimal amount of time.
- Career Consultation: Assistance in creating a resume, applying for positions post-licensure, specialization consulting, etc.
