MFT Intern Training Program

Helping You Grow with Confidence, Compassion, and Skill

Our Philosophy: Grounded, Evolving, and Ethical

We believe effective training is a process. One that grows with your knowledge, experience, and personal insight. Our goal is to create a supportive learning environment where you can develop:

A Relational and Systemic Approach to Therapy

We teach you to understand clients in context—within relationships, families, and systems.

Supervision & Mentorship

You’ll be matched with a licensed AAMFT or state-approved supervisor and receive weekly, uninterrupted clinical supervision, following DOPL and AAMFT standards under a signed contract.

A Supportive Place to Grow

We are a family therapy training program committed to support, clinical integrity, and respect for the therapeutic process. Our goal is to help each student grow into a confident, ethical, and relationship-focused professional.

Commitment to the AAMFT Code of Ethics

We operate with full alignment to the AAMFT Code of Ethics and DOPL standards. All of our MFT students are trained to:

You will receive structured guidance throughout your clinical practice:

  • Weekly individual or group clinical supervision

  • Supervisor sign-off on case notes and treatment plans

  • Hour tracking via approved software

  • Training in billing systems and documentation standards

Confidentiality & HIPAA

We support ethical clinical training through secure practices:

  • All therapy sessions follow HIPAA guidelines

  • Recordings are only allowed with written client consent

  • Recordings are stored securely and deleted in compliance with HITECH and HIPAA

  • A clinic-issued device is provided for recordings

All new interns begin with a structured orientation to support clinical training from the start. This includes an overview of our mission and values, core therapeutic models, the AAMFT Code of Ethics, supervision expectations, and documentation tools.
